North East represented on national cyber security scheme

A Durham based tech and business consultancy has been selected as one of only seven consultancies – and the only northern firm - to be part of the National Cyber Security Centre’s (NCSC), Cyber Resilience Audit scheme.

As an NCSC-assured service provider, Waterstons – which is headquartered in Durham with offices in London and Glasgow - can assist organisations in navigating the complexities of today’s cyber landscape.

The scheme has been set out to not only elevate cyber resilience standards across the UK but instil confidence over a broad range of sectors when completing cyber audits which are aligned to the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).

Waterstons, founded in 1994, has always been about solving business problems using technology and the organisation’s cyber security services provide many solutions to work alongside their problem-solving efforts including, penetration testing and security architecture to user awareness training and Security Centre Operations (SOC).

Membership of the NCSC Cyber Resilience Audit scheme means Waterstons has met the highest standards set by the UK’s leading cyber authority, giving organisations peace of mind and the opportunity to work with a team that combines both technical depth and a knack for translating complex cyber requirements into practical, achievable steps.

Speaking of the achievement, Stew Hogg, Associate Director of cyber at Waterstons, said: “As one of only a few selected consultancies, we’re absolutely delighted to be recognised as a Cyber Resilience Audit scheme member.

“Not only does it mean that we can support vital sectors such as healthcare and critical national infrastructure, but we can help organisations across all industries spot gaps and areas where they could improve their cyber defences, as well as assure that those cyber defences are operating in line with best practice."

From board-level insights to operational adjustments, Waterstons has made it their mission to make cyber security something that works for a whole organisation—rather than something that simply adds to the to-do list.
