Morgan Sindall Construction is working on the new-build leisure centre in Bishop Auckland and is inviting local contractors and organisations to engage in upcoming work packages. This initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to fostering local engagement and maximising regional investment across County Durham.

The project team is particularly keen to connect with contractors based in the local area, as well as Social Enterprises and Third Sector organisations. This collaborative approach extends not only to the construction phase but also to supporting the wider project throughout its duration.

The project is currently scheduled to commence with site establishment and enabling works in April 2025. Construction is anticipated to begin in late Q2 or early Q3, with final completion projected for late 2026. These dates are provisional and will be finalised in the coming weeks.
