A popular nightclub is expanding into a new venue - bringing Durham's first dedicated karaoke bar to the city.
The management behind Jimmy Allen's, a multi-floor nightclub located on Elvet Bridge in the heart of Durham's medieval centre, is set to open a new venue in September - just in time for students' return.
Fowlers, from the Jimmy's team, will take over the Wiff Waff and King Pong venue, formerly a nightclub and ping pong parlour, in Fowlers Yard, behind the covered market.
In response to high demand at Jimmy Allen's, Fowlers will have a dancefloor as well as a top-floor karaoke bar with a full-time DJ.
