The construction business is also set to create a number of new jobs in the year ahead.
North East construction company Esh Group is looking forward to the future with a £1.6bn pipeline of work, buoyed by rising demand across all of its divisions.
The Durham based group is one of the region’s largest privately-owned construction businesses, with civil engineering, affordable housing, commercial build and private housebuilding divisions. The company – which secured a £6m financing facility with Bibby Financial Services (BFS) last year – has spent the last few years actioning a business model designed to target routes to market and key sectors that it believed presented a lower risk profile.
Esh Group’s current portfolio includes work for local authorities, utility and environmental companies, registered affordable housing providers, as well as the private housing sector and, as a result, CEO Andy Radcliffe says the business is looking to the future with the largest forward order book in its 25-year history on the horizon, worth £1.6bn, providing more than a decade of pipeline visibility for the group.
