Durham Dog Chaperone Wins Two Awards

Kirsty Spender, from Bowburn in County Durham, launched her business Chuck Tails in 2023.


Chuck Tails allows dog owners to have their pet with them on their wedding day with Kirsty attending to the canines every need, helping them fulfil special roles on their owner's big day - from ring bearing to posing for wedding photos.

After 20 bookings in 2023, the company has now completed 80 weddings in 2024 with 2025 looking to be another record year.


Chuck tails is the chosen supplier for over 15 venues in the North East and recently won two industry awards. Named winner of wedding service at The North Of England Wedding awards and the highly commended award for 'Special Touch' at The Wedding Industry Awards.


The business is set to expand further in the next year, recently launching a harness range specifically designed for doggies to wear at weddings.
