A North East-based cyber security initiative is set to accelerate innovation and support early-stage businesses with a second fully-funded programme following new government backing.
CyberNorth, a cyber security cluster in the North East that is made up of over 90 cyber security businesses and accounts for over 2000 cyber professionals, has secured funding from the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) to launch Cyber Security Innovation Centre #2.
Building on the success of its initial pilot, the programme will provide vital support for entrepreneurs and start-ups in the cyber security sector, helping to “further unleash the potential” in the North East.
