A County Durham vets is set to open a £1.1m purpose-built new practice.

White Oak Vets will open its doors today (Thursday, April 17) on the outskirts of Peterlee, following a name change from White Lion Vets.


The practice is moving just over five miles from its South Hetton base, which was once a pub, to a modern 3,745 square foot building on Passfield Way Retail Park.
