County Durham motor firm Autoservice sold to new owners

The owners of an established North East motor business are set to retire after selling the company to two staff members.

Car repair and servicing garage Autoservice in Stanley, County Durham, has been run by Fred and Mary Elder for more than 45 years. Now the firm has been sold for an undisclosed sum to two of their employees, father and son Michael and Paul Wears who have worked for the business for a combined 38 years.
