About the event
DurhamEnable has a vision to build a community of County Durham employers who have a dedication to inclusivity, equality and diversity. Every business is welcome, especially those who would love to be more inclusive but are unsure where to start.
With talks from businesses who are already on their journey, people with lived experience of disability & neurodivergence who can give employers an idea of what kind of adjustments they’ve needed in the workplace and organisations like DWP speaking about how to attain disability confident accreditation. Breakfast is also provided alongside dedicated time to network and engage with everyone attending.
DurhamEnable is a Supported Employment service delivered by Durham County Council. We have been awarded Excellent accreditation – The highest possible award given by BASE (The British Association of Supported Employment) and we have worked with more than 195 employers and helped over 250 jobseekers into employment.
