The Durham Business Opportunities Programme (DBOP) aims to help your County Durham business grow by linking you with tangible opportunities to help facilitate your business growth, which could be a new contract, finding new premises, a new supplier or perhaps some investment.
We focus on reaching businesses that have not yet taken up existing support for whatever reason. We aim to understand the issues you face, possible barriers to growth and help you to access business support by simplifying the business support map so that we can help you to identify and go after opportunities for growth.
The opportunity-spotting nature of the programme is crucial: the DBOP team, managed by Business Durham will work with you to develop excellent working relationships. We want to be the first port of call for your business, should you need guidance. We are always here to offer impartial, practical advice so we can deliver support tailored to the needs of your business saving you time and money.
The DBOP team utilise their extensive range of business contacts, networks and knowledge to identify and go after opportunities including but not limited to, new contracts, supply chain opportunities, premises, assisting with tender applications or perhaps identifying the most suitable source of funding for new machinery, a new member of staff or maybe research and development.
But don’t just take our word for it - take a look at some of the businesses we have helped in the case studies below or read our feature in The Northern Echo feature.
Another way we help to facilitate your business growth is by organising a number of events and workshops that will help you meet like-minded people, make new connections, up-skill your workforce, increase knowledge and raise the profile of your business. These events will often welcome expert speakers from other support organisations that can provide guidance on a range of specialist business topics.
