Geolin First Aid Training Services was formed by husband and wife team, George and Linda Sharp, in April 2012. George has always been passionate about sharing his knowledge with others, starting out his career teaching in the construction industry. Following a downturn in 2008 he turned his talent to working with apprentices, delivering training in joinery and IT.
George and Linda began to build their business from their back bedroom at home. However it soon became clear that by late 2015 their “office was not big enough and they began the search for an office that could be used for office work and as a training room big enough to take 12 people.
After an unsuccessful period of searching the local area, George found Tanfield Lea Business Centre via the internet. The couple were surprised at the facilities on offer for extremely reasonable terms
Linda said “We were shocked to find out that not only could we afford an office but we were also offered an incentive to help us move in!”
George added “Since our move to Tanfield Lea our business has gone from strength to strength. One of the reasons for this is that we had access to a business development manager Andrea McGuigan, who has been very helpful in supporting us through our growth period, and continues to do so.”
Andrea McGuigan said “George and Linda have a superb business and are an asset to Tanfield Lea Business Centre. There mix of humour, knowledge and expertise in the field of first aid is a breath of fresh air, any many of their clients, who are local businesses, have praised them for their first class delivery. I wish them every success as they grow their business and I will be on hand to support them along the way.”
