    The Peter Jones Academy

    East Durham College’s Peter Jones Enterprise Academy is proud to offer BTECs in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. The course structure is business-led and involves partnerships with a range of companies and entrepreneurs providing leadership and hands-on business experience. The course prepares students for an entrepreneurial career, whether they plan to set up their own business or to work in an entrepreneurial workplace, helping an established business to grow.

    Durham University

    Durham University offers courses in entrepreneurship to all undergraduate and post-graduate students and has an active and inclusive programme of enterprise events. They also house Entrepreneurs Durham which is a student society which provides a support network for students at Durham University who want to experience entrepreneurship first-hand.  As well as providing students with activities and support, the society, supported by Business Durham, hosts the annual Kickstart Weekend, an opportunity for new businesses to pitch their ideas to funders and business experts.

     

    Durham Creatives

    The Durham Creatives programme offers a series of fun, free workshops, practical advice and mentorship for anyone with a creative spark who lives or works in County Durham and is thinking about starting a creative business.
    Durham Creatives creates opportunities for you to try out your ideas and sell work in the marketplace with workshops to stretch imaginations, learn business skills and hone ideas. The programme connects with networks of people who can help take plans forward and link with a community of like-minded people.

     

    Future Business Magnates
